Inner Journey Through Meditation: My Practices and the Different Types in Yoga

Life can sometimes move so fast that we forget to breathe and listen to ourselves. I ran at that pace for years—my mind constantly busy, my body tired, and my spirit somewhat lost. Meditation became both a refuge and a space of inner balance for me.

My Own Meditation Practices
Over time, I developed my own meditation methods. These practices combine breathwork, energy awareness, and guided visualizations. My goal is to help everyone reach their own center and ease the stresses of daily life. The focus areas of my personal meditations include:

  • Energy Awareness Through Breath: Feeling the body’s energy with every breath.

  • Emotional Balance: Observing and accepting emotions.

  • Inner Guidance: Connecting with our inner voice.

  • Relaxation and Healing: Bringing body and mind into deep calm.

Each meditation is a small but powerful journey, aimed at helping participants become aware of their inner energy and feel more balanced.

Types of Meditation in Yoga
Yoga offers many paths of meditation, each supporting mind, body, and spirit. My own practices are inspired by these traditions. Some common types of meditation in yoga include:

  • Dhyana (Focused Meditation): Concentrating the mind on a single point or object.

  • Mantra Meditation: Repeating words or sounds to calm the mind and enhance focus.

  • Breath (Pranayama) Meditation: Focusing on breath to balance energy flow.

  • Vipassana (Mindfulness Meditation): Observing thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations.

  • Metta (Loving-Kindness Meditation): Sending love and compassion to oneself and others.

  • Chakra Meditation: Balancing the body’s energy centers.

  • Trataka (Gazing Meditation): Concentrating by staring at a fixed point or candle flame.

  • Walking Meditation: Increasing awareness through mindful movement.

  • Guided Meditation: Deep relaxation with the guidance of a teacher or audio guide.

Meditation is one of the most intimate connections we can cultivate with ourselves. Through my personal practices and yoga’s diverse meditation types, each session becomes an inner journey and an opportunity for awareness. My aim is to help participants calm their minds, listen to their bodies, and balance their spirits.
